Finance, expenses and profitOWNERS
Revenue, factoring fees, trip costs, fixed costs and the bottom line, per truck and driver.
The Finance tab shows how the business is doing for the period you pick (week, month, quarter or year):
- Revenue & fees: gross revenue from your loads and the factoring fees on them.
- Trip variable costs: fuel, tolls, driver pay and other expenses on trips.
- Fixed monthly costs: truck payments, insurance and other monthly costs (add them in Settings → Fixed Monthly Costs; attach each to a truck or to the company).
- Bottom line: what's left after everything.
Use the driver/truck filter to see one truck's or driver's profit.
Adding an expense
Finance → + Add:
- Scan receipt fills in the fields from a photo.
- Pick the date, category and amount. Link it to a truck and/or a load if you like.
- For fuel, add gallons and the purchase state. IFTA needs them.
- Mark it tax deductible if it is.
Tax estimate
Finance shows an estimated quarterly tax and deductible expenses, plus an IRS mileage log. These are estimates only. Check with a tax professional.
Drivers
Drivers see an Expenses tab to add their own receipts, without any company money.
